MJ Lindo
A self-trained artist, MJ Lindo's creative journey was sparked by her experiences as a young child. Shaped by the civil war in Nicaragua, her family soon relocated to Toronto, where she found a fresh curiosity and inspiration in the city's subway murals that spawned a lifelong dedication to art. Now, as a full-time muralist in the Bay Area, she and her husband, Joshua Lawyer, operate under the name Rough Edge Collective, each bringing a unique style and expression to their work.
The goal of MJ's murals is to bridge the gap between the tangible and the intangible, constructing portals to a place where imagination knows no bounds. By incorporating elements of magical realism and fantasy, MJ hopes to create opportunities for viewers to engage with their emotions, memories, and dreams and encourage them to see the world with a more playful eye.
